View Full Version : 'Redwall' and 'Mossflower' reprinted for younger readers

<img src="http://newsline.longpatrolclub.com/images/misc/firebird_mossflower.jpg" height= "233" width= "150" alt="Firebird" align="left" hspace="5" vspace="3"><img src="http://newsline.longpatrolclub.com/images/misc/firebird.jpg" height= "74" width= "47" alt="Firebird" align="right" hspace="5" vspace="3"><b>Firebird Fantasy</b>, an imprint of <b>Penguin Putnam, Inc.</b>, has recently issued new printings of both <i>Redwall</i> and <i>Mossflower</i>, in 7 3/4" x 5" dimensions more befitting younger readers. These printings boast the original Troy Howell covers, albeit with a slightly different title dress (see image).

Both books retain their original illustrations by Gary Chalk and contain no new material save a full page from Brian Jacques, where he reminisces how each book came to be about. Unless you don't yet own either book, these editions would likely only interest collectors.

As a further point of interest, this marks the first time Troy Howell's original cover to <i>Redwall</i> has been used as a paperback cover (trade edition notwithstanding).
