Does anyone ever wonder if Martin the Warrior and the Scribes have secret identities, so they can post things they couldn't as Scribes? This occured to me when I saw one of the Scribes' post count, being as low as it is and for spending three years on the forums.

Yeah, the moderators have nothing better to do than going around masquerading as other people. It's a conspiracy!

Could be. It's not as if they would tell us, though.
Oh golly gee! You guessed it! Yes, it is a huge conspiracy. But we couldn't fool you! Why, I think for your cleverness we'll reveal our entire plan for galatic domination, right now!

They have other lives and obligations; I barely post here at all during the semester because I'm kept so busy.

 But... who told you?!?!? They were all sworn to secrecy!
Nope, sorry no secret identities. It's too much work just keeping up with the day-to-day posts to have alternate personas. But... (and this is just for the conspiracy theorists...) even if we did, we would still have to follow all of the rules and therefore we couldn't post anything that we wouldn't normally post in our duties as Scribes, because otherwise we would then have to ban ourselves from the forum... right? ;)
As for the post counts... I guess Rimrose is the one with the lowest post count. She's Martin's sister, so when she finds an issue on the Forum, she usually tells him and he takes care of it. Reds and I take care of the issues when Martin and Rimrose can't be reached.
My post count is lower than some because I'm just a shy person, both online and IRL. I post when I have something to offer, otherwise I just stay in the background and moderate. :)
Reds' post count is greatly influenced by the Oreo stock market and tend experience spikes known as "sugar-highs" followed by "empty-bag" drops. ;)
And Martin... well, there's no way his post count could be called "low". :)

So how were all of you chosen by Martin as Scribes? Are you all personal friends of him, brought together by Redwall goodness, or were you just the first members to join?

We are all friends of Martin. I have been a member of the club since almost the beginning. Reds has been around for a long time but only became really active after he wrote an editorial for the LP site. Rimrose is Martin's sister. We were all asked by Martin to be Scribes when he opened the old EZBoard Forum.
Martin's answer to this question (http://forums.longpatrolclub.com/showthread.php?t=1865) ;)

Mackinsie, I have a question for you. How do you, the rest of the SCRIBES, and Martin keep in touch? You all obviously were childhood friends, or at least high school friends, but I doubt that any of you are still in high school. Do you all stay in contact through Instant Messenger, e-mail, telephone, SCRIBE chatroom/board? And do you all still live close to each other or have you all sort of distanced yourselves from each other because of different colleges?

By day I am Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter of a major Metropolitan newspaper. When trouble arises, though... ;)

My Oreo Toaster is in the shop. I've been trying to make do with an Easy-Bake Oven. It doesn't work as well, the messages keep getting stuck.
