View Full Version : Who's got a crush

on Hermione? I know I do.
But seriously now: Ron and Harry. Do either one of these chaps have a liking for the bonny lass? In my opinion there hasn't been much allusion to either scenario in the books; the movies are more questionable.
Let's see whether this poll is as big a landslide as my last one about the ending in Martin the Warrior. I've been known to be impervious to many apparently obvious facts that the general public is all supposed to know.

I'd say Ron. Harry likes Cho.

Lonna have you not finished reading all the books yet?
I'm definitely going with Harry, that's been my prediction from the beginning. She just used Krumm to make him jealous.

Yeah, I have. I thought Harry still liked her after the incident at Hogsmeade.

I think Ron and Hermione will hook up. Opposites tend to attract.
As for Harry, I think that he is still into Cho, even though Cho went postal on him.

It'll never work. He has a silly schoolboy crush that he doesn't know how to act on, and she has no initial attraction for him whatsoever. If she did, it would be fake anyway, she'd just be attracted to all the attention Harry gets because he's HP.
Theres a Harry-Hermione thing bound to happen. You wait.

So youre saying she's a shallow material girl?
 just joking Im not really angry by that. I dont like her much anyway

well, "material girl" isn't the proper terminology. I don't think I'm allowed to say the proper verbage here. ;)

Here be the biggest clues, I think.
Hermi+Ron: Ron chose to ignore Hermi and her date throughout the Yule Ball. And Ron goes up in flames whenever Victor Krum and his friendship with Hermione are mentioned. Sign of jealousy.
Hermi+Harry: Not many clues in the book about Harry having a crush, but Hermi has kissed him (on the cheek) at least once or twice.
The movies offer a completely different set of clues.
Hermi+Ron: When Hermi is startled in a Magical Creatures class in Year 3, what’s the first thing she does? She grabs Ron’s hand.
One sequence can be used as proof of either belief. In Year 2 Hermi runs across Great Hall to hug Harry, who accepts without fuss. Afterwards Hermi turns to Ron who goes “Ummm…” and they shake hands.
Hermi+Ron: Hermi and Harry can easily hug because they know that they are just friends of one another. But Hermi and Ron don’t quite know how the other person feels, so hugging would be awkward.
Hermi+Harry: Hermi and Harry like each other, but they simply don’t let that get to themselves as they hug. But Hermi and Ron are not the best of friends, so they think “Uh, do I really want to hug you?”
I thought Harry still liked her after the incident at Hogsmeade.Remember a lot more happened between them after the incident. Cho more or less forgave him once the Quibbler article was published. But then that friend of Cho’s decided to be a sneak, and Cho and Harry had a row about her actions, and what Hermi did to her. They stopped talking, again. On the train ride home Cho walked by Harry, ignoring him, and Harry just had this feeling of indifference. This feeling might change (leading to Hermi+Ron), then again it might not (Hermi+Harry).
Overanalyzing? Alas, no amount of analysis could possibly define love. Happy V-Day!

I think both like her becasue of all the signs. But I think that their will be some fight between the two over it eventually.

I said (and will stick by) that Hermione and Harry will hook up by the end, don't ask why, they just will. And just so you know, Rolinko, you dang near changed my mind with that post with all the evidence you gathered from the books and movies, but then I remembered, love is illogical. Harry+Hermione (sittin' in a tree etc...) :slagar
As for Emma Watson, I'll just say she makes Hermione's role a bit better. :slagar

I have to say that Ron and Hermione will never get together, as I believe one of them (more likely Ron) will be killed in the seventh book.
And I agree that Harry and Hermione are just friends.

Personally, I'm a Ron/Hermione and a Harry/Ginny shipper. I think Harry and Hermione have more of a brother-sister thing going on than a romantic connection.
