Well, in my opinion, it's never too early to begin speculating about the cast of Order of the Phoenix (to be released June 2007, filming starts Jan 2006), so who's got some ideas for the new characters?
The most important new character is probably Umbridge. I heard someone elsewhere on the 'net say that Judy Dench is a good idea. My mom said that Kathy Bates came to mind when she read the book, though obviously an American actress is a long shot.
Other new roles include Luna Lovegood and Bellatrix Lestrange, who may or may not be in Goblet of Fire come November. Can anyone across the pond think of a decent African-British actor for Kingsley Shacklebolt? Only one I can think of is the guy from Underworld (the vampire, not the lycan/werewolf). And no, Don Cheadle is not British (think Ocean's).
And FYI, the only actor signed on to the film yet is Jason Isaacs/Lucius Malfoy. Which means that any of the youth actors could be replaced, and even the older actors for that matter. Anyone think a replacement is in order? (Personally, I don’t think Rupert Grint looks too good for the role of Ron anymore, having seen some production photos. He’s been reduced to comic relief quite a bit too.)
