Any of you seen this yet? Personally, I feel that the Horntail should have been less bulky. And the maze looks too big. Apart from that and the hilarious opening sequence, it looks alright.

Watch it here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/harry_potter/thegobletoffire/)

Haven't seen it; thanks for posting. It looks pretty neat from what little it shows. I think the dragon looks pretty cool, all spiky and stuff. The art and animation of the unique creatures is definitely one of my favorite aspects of the Harry Potter movies (the hippogriff was one of the redeeming factors of the HP3 film). I'm looking forward to the dragons, the sphinx, the mermaids - and I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting - in the fourth one.

I wonder how they'll deal with the death of the character that dies (it's stupid to spoilerize that, but I'm being courteous anyway). This will be the first HP directly showing the death of a character, right? It's obvious that these movies are geared toward a younger audience (that in itself doesn't make them bad, but you know what I mean). I hope they don't screw it up.

Good point; That'll have been a major issue for the filmakers. They'll probably just have a jet of green light hitting [the person] then they'll turn down the volume, Harry'll say "No!" (zoom on Harry) and they'll add an echo, then you'll see [person] falling, and hear the thwump, then it'll speed up and you'll hear "I've been expecting you, Mr. Potter".

This will be the first HP directly showing the death of a character, right?

The first one had Quirrel screaming, turning to dust, and falling apart (and a brief glimpse of Lily's death). I don't think the filmmakers are going to shy away from showing the casualty in GoF. Compared to the visuals attached to Voldemort's resurrection in that scene, the Avada Kedavra curse seems rather tame. Bloodless, afterall.

It seems it's getting a PG-13 rating, so you don't have to worry.

From Mugglenet:
GOF to receive PG-13 rating
TVGuide.com is reporting that the fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has been slapped with a PG-13 rating due to "sequences of fantasy violence and frightening images." If this is confirmed, GOF is the first of the Potter films to receive this rating by the MPAA. We're working on getting confirmation from Warner Brothers. Stay tuned.

EDIT: We just received word from Warner Brothers. It's official.

I'm just wondering how they'll deal with Pettigrew cutting off his hand.

In the book it didn't really describe him cutting off his hand. They'll probably just have the camera on Harry shutting his eyes tight or something like that. I REALLY doubt the'll show the hand coming off.

Well, it's PG-13 - I've seen decapitated heads and disembodied limbs a fair amount of times in such movies.

Return of the King they showed those heads, but that was a war movie. They didn't show the hand in the book so the shouldn't in the movie. They just released the full trailer, that doesn't really add much, but it's alll right. THe music is So cool. The same guy that is doing the music for this is also doing it for the Eragon movie.

Say, what's the beef on the Eragon movie?
