After the recent Harry Potter film I have asked my self. What should be in this movie? And who on earth will play Dolourus Umbridge? Or will Tonks be in it? Bill? Charlie? Even Mrs. Weaslys scene with the BOGART! Will they included the giant half brother of Hagrid? WHAT WILL THEY HAVE AND NOT HAVE! I am starting to think they won't even put Luna Lovegood in the film there's so much they must put in this next film! Who will play UMBRIDGE! Now I have a few predictions on who will play the new charachters.
Tonks: Keira Knightley
Umbridge: Kathy Bates
Charlie: Sean Astin
Bill: Johnny Depp
Well these are just a few things I thought up at 1:00 am so if you think I'm crazy that would be why.

I am starting to think they won't even put Luna Lovegood in the film...They almost have to, based on how prominent I think she'll be in book 7. I want to hear "Weasley is Our King", but am not expecting it.

That would be crazy awesome.
Bill: Johnny Depp.
Outlook doubtful.

Couldn't think of anybody so I just put him in there. :D

The one thing I want to see in the film are CGI Thestrals. They were awesome.

I also expect a really creepy person to play Dolores Umbridge. What's-her-face from the beginning of Prisoner of Azkaban (the lady who Harry turned into a human balloon) looked like a good candidate with the puffed-up face. Maybe Anne Robinson with a puffed-up face... no, can't imagine it.

Voldemort, your choice of Kathy Bates is good, but... how about this? (http://www.ibiza-voice.com/news/photo/scary-lady-@-Pacha-12.09.03.jpg)

Personally, I'd like most of the worrying and whining to be skipped over, since Order of the Phoenix was my least favorite book. Get to the bit about visiting Hagrid in about the first 15 minutes.

Considering it's the longest book, even more will be chopped out of it than any of the others.

I think they should have to work their brains for not eliminate too much matter, or the movie will be ununderstoodable... The further they will be in the serie, the more difficult will be the scenarii to be write.

I heard that Imelda Staunton is being considered for the role of Dolores Umbridge.

I'd rather they do a 2 part movie for book 5, like Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, or have a dvd extended version. If they do not, I will be mad, as much as I hate book 5.

Do you really think they would do that?

They were alledgedly supposed to have 2-part movie for #4. I can't see the movie being complete without it being in 2-parts or having an extended version.

Actually, there were rumors of a 4 hour long movie with an intermission for book 3.

I have no problems with that. I can't see how theaters would have problems with that either. More time for people to spend money on snacks and drinks.

I don't either. In fact, that's what I was hoping for for books 3 and 4. Now please, do the book justice in movie five.

Maybe they'll have a big "deleted scenes" section on the DVD, but I don't expect anything more than that.

Yeah I don't understand it either. Also, maybe I've been brainwashed by LOTR, but I was shocked when people complained about how short Harry Potter was. It was only 2 1/2 hours! I would love a four or five hour movie (perhaps not five, but five is better than 2 1/2)! Bring it on!:D

It's really quite simple. Money.

Most movie showtimes fall between 10AM and midnight. That's fourteen hours. With a four hour movie, that means you can only show it a maximum of four times a day on a single screen. A two hour movie can be shown on the same screen during the same amount of time up to seven times.

Snacks and drinks are optional to customers, making them an unreliable source of revenue compared to tickets (which everyone has to buy).

Using simple figures, let's say 100 tickets are sold per show at $7 a pop. That's $700 per screening (not getting into profits). Is a movie theater more likely to want $2,800 from four screenings or $4,900 from seven?

Theaters want shorter movies so there can be more screenings and they can sell more tickets. That's why movies (the first two LOTRs especially) try so hard to come in under the 3 hour mark. Most stick to 2-2 1/2 hours (save comedies, which are usually 1 1/2 hours).

Actually snacks make up about 80% of a theater's revenue. No one buys food halfway through a movie, though. Every time you show the movie you get a fresh batch of people to buy soda and popcorn.

If they make the movie longer, the overall quality will go down. A longer movie means less money made, and less money devoted to each bit of it.

I saw Harry Potter again yesterday. It was either that or Rent.

The eternal question is why does it cost eight bucks for a large popcorn at the movies when you can buy an entire box at the store for only three?

Uh, it doesn't. You just get there a couple minutes earkly, bring plastic bags from home, buy a small, and take advantage of the free refills.

I read somewhere that to make a bucket sized popcorn cost about $0.25, and most of it was the container.
