Here it is. Your chance to shine, to be able to firmly say "I told you so" when the 7th book is published. Perhaps it's a bit early for a prediction of this magnitude, but honestly, there really isn't going to be much more information coming between now and the grand finale of Rowling's brainchild.

So here we go; do you think Harry James Potter will be deceased by the end of the 7th book? If so, why? Just a hunch, or have you spotted a clue pointing to one or the other?

Talk away.

Personally, I think Harry will survive for two reasons; a) despite what she says, Rowling is a slave to her fans. She wasn't going to make movies, but fans demanded it, and here we are. She didn't want to churn out the HP merchandise, but alas, I see it every day. B) Because of the fan control aspect and her writing style, she won't let the main character die. Also, if Harry dies, it means Voldemort wins, and that wouldn't be a happy ending for the series, nor would it provide enough closure.

I'm calling a survival situation for young Potter.

I've said it before. I'll say it again.

HP is a dead man. If she let's him live, people will just be like "So what happens next to Harry?" "What's the next adventure?" etc.

Additionally, I believe the books say something along the lines that HP and V can't exist without each other or something, so they both have to die.

If Harry does survive, it's because JKR has been fooling us all along and Neville is the real heroe. Ha.

This makes me laugh inside and smile outside. (http://www.jkrowling.com/textonly/en/faq_view.cfm?id=23) Note: spoiler concerning the end of Book 5, but you've all read that one by now. Otherwise, I doubt you'd be here. Anyway... eh, whatever. Dunno wot else ta say.

The happy theme of "love is stronger than evil" we've seen from book 1 isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

maybe it is for the best that Harry dies, I know a lot of HArry potter who want him dead.

Me, for example. ;)
I wouldn't understand why if he don't die. He will be better for him, in my view. And all this Horcruxes stuff... I can't resist thinking of Harry may be one. Yes, I expect he die.

Otherwise, if Rowling kill Harry, she's sure this will be fewer stupid fanfictions after the end of the serie.

I think he'll die.

He made it this far by luck alone, and i don't think his luck will last forever. At the same time, he doesn't have what it takes to make it out alive.

that's never occured to me before. i guess that would explain the parseltounge-i-ness & some of his other voldimortesque powers.it would certainly be a very interesting plot twist.

anyway, i think book 7 should end in an epic battle in which they both kill each other at the same time, or harry kills voldimort, but the succums to his own wounds.
