The books were released in 2002 and 2005.

There is a very good official site : http://www.arthuretlesminimoys.com
This is again a story about an innocent cild who find another world. Here it's in his own garden that he find the Minimoys (2,5 mm - that is 1/10 in), who live underground. As the house risk to be sold in the next days, both arthur's world and the Minimoys' are threatened. Their only chance : to defeat M. (the big bad guy), and find a treasure hidden - lost ! - by Arthur's grandpa in the garden, himself vanished three years ago.
That is a sum-up of the first movie, released here on last wednesday.
Do anyone knows about books or movie(s) ? Did anyone like them ?

Personnally I find the movie is very faithful to the books, and that's a wonderful world, full of colours and humour.

The story's characters sound sort of like The Borrowers.

I can say that I have neither heard of the books, nor the movies.

I have read about the Borrowers ; they are also tiny little characters, aren't they ?
As for the Minimoys, actually I don't know how much they can have been brought overseas, but as Besson seems to be known in the whole world...
