Hey all. Wikia recently introduced a feature allowing wikis to add YouTube videos, see here:

http://redwall.wikia.com/wiki/Redwall_TV_Series

for an example.

I'd also like to add the season 2 & 3 intro themes, but they are not on YouTube. Would anyone with the DVDs be willing to do this?

Thanks.

Season 3 intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGWin8VHdBI)

Season 2 intro was removed already. But you can save this QuickTime movie (http://ondemand.corusent.com/Content/Nelvana/Redwall/RW_II_Opening_T1.mov) from Nelvana's Redwall site, convert to some Windows format, and upload that to YouTube.

I'm incredibly curious as to why Season 2 intro of Redwall was removed, compared to ALL of the other way more questional/objectional content on YouTube.

I actually don't have a YouTube account (and don't want one), but would someone else be willing to upload the converted video?

I was able to successfully convert from MOV to AVI, however the AVI is ~154MB. Does YouTube limit file sizes? The quality is nice and clean.

Edit: Argh! Just learned the upload limit is 100MB. Trying to solve this.

If all else fails, I could just upload the Season 2 opening theme as a video clip from one of my DVDs. It would be easy for me to do; I've uploaded clips to YouTube from the Redwall TV series before. :)

Because there's a thing against uploading copyrighted material (even drop-off-your-huge-files-for-free sites have this restriction). Even so, a TON of copyrighted material makes it onto YouTube, and there's speculation that the copyrighted material is what gets YouTube so many visitors.

If you take copyrighted clips and set it to copyrighted music to create an animated music video though, YouTube doesn't seem to complain about that.

To clarify, BOTH links I had found for Season 2 and 3 had been taken down because they were violations. Someone else managed to upload the Season 3 intro, which is what I linked to. And in any case, redwall.tv has the Season 3 intro in .mov form.

Still, this is only a measly minute of material that is available elsewhere, so I too am curious on why they're flipping out over this, and not over... say... entire episodes of Redwall.

 Speculation. That IS what gets the visitors. Music videos. TV clips. News clips. Not stupid people ghostriding the whip.

Right. A show no longer aired. Not to mention the far worse things on YouTube that is a-ok (Hezbollah videos anyone?)

At any rate, I managed to convert to MPG this time, where the vid is only 16MB now. Does YouTube allow MPGs? If yes, if someone is willing to upload I will get you the file.

Hmm, Folgrimeo, they've really gotten rid of the intros?

It's amazing they havn't shut me down for a month now. I'm expecting it at any time, however. Only one more left!

The way I look at it, Youtube doesn't bother to down any copyrighted material unless asked to. I searched for some 'Full Metal Alchemist' episodes recently, and when I clicked on one it said (something along these lines), " Fundimation (or whatever) has requested that this be taken down.

There is one strange thing however. In the top viewed clips, number 16ish is a Naruto MOVIE eg. copyrighted with stamps all over it. It had well over 1 million views. All of the Full Metal Alchemist episodes have been taken down.

If you need me to, Tbt, I can upload All of the seasons intros. If you want me to. Or none. I'd Rather none.

I've just uploaded the Season 2 theme:

I'm going to go ahead and post it on the Redwall Wiki.
