Will there be a movie now that its author had died?

Madeleine L'Engle died? :( I remember reading her books for 6th grade.

Anyway, there is a movie, actually.

Madeleine L'Engle (http://imdb.com/name/nm0478291/)

Both A Ring of Endless Light and A Wrinkle in Time have been made into movies. A Wrinkle in Time is available on video and DVD.

Surprised there wasn't a thread already here.

Last week sci/fi fantasy (and children's) author Madeleine L'Engle died at the age of 88. I believe cause of death has not been made public as of this writing.

L'Engle was perhaps best known for "A Wrinkle in Time", which was rejected by 26 publishers and won the Newbery Medal.

I remember first reading "A Wrinkle in Time" as a boy, and not particularly liking it at the time. I thnk I'll give it another shot when I find the time.

RIP.

My childhood icons are dropping like flies. :(

I dug out my ancient edition of A Wrinkle In Time and flipped through it this afternoon. Obviously flawed, (particularly the speed in which Calvin and Meg's relationship develops) but it's still a great book.
