    Seal Hunt

Hey guys, in Canada, over 305,000 seals have already been killed. Many of them have been under 12 days old. It's a moral outrage. I you have a heart, please, please. pleeease, sign this petition. all it requires is you name, country, and e-mail. Go to www.stopthesealhunt.com and click on "take action". The seals will much appreciate it.

All I'm going to say is this: If you truly care about an issue, you should really write (or type) the petition out and have people sign it in person. Online petitions rarely achieve anything.

I thought about that, exept I'm not sure who in Canada to mail it to. Anyway, it's worth a try.

Online petitions got the radio station WHFS back.

I never said they didn't work. But old fashioned ones usually work better and are (in my opinion) more professional.

Yes, I know. But paper petitions are nearly impossible to get to people in other countries unless you get major publicity.

And it is certainly more professional then the one I mentioned earlier.

Where in Canada are these taking place? Certainly not in Alberta.

In the Gulf St. Lawrence area and Eastern Canada. So it's in like, the Quebec area. They plan to slaughter 391,500 seals for fur before the end of the season. Do you live in Canada?

I think the seal hunt is our way of balancing the environment as well as making a nice profit at the same time.

Yes, and that's why this seems so odd to me. You'd think I'd hear something about this on the news. Are you sure that your sources of this are accurate? The East Coast doesn't seem to be a very seal supporting area to me. Of course, I live in Alberta, so I really don't know.

It's extremely unnecessary and it does not need to take place to balance the environment. It's not a very "nice" way to make a profit if you ask me. I've always been very anti-fur. These are seals as young as twelve days old. And I have no doubt that it's a lie. It is put out by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Large organizations like that should be true.

If Canada can have abortions, then I guess it can have seal hunts.

Yeah, like we should trust statistics from The Brady Campaign or PETA.

I would like to take this moment to state that I think this Seal Hunting thing is bologna. If stuff like this this was happening, we'd hear about. If this was as big as they say, than it wouldn't go unnoticed by Canadians. So either someones pulling your chain, or who ever made this survey is over exagerating.
