Nope, there is no real reason to think it an error; Luke simply chosen to give his son his grandfather's name.

That's not what I'm concerned about. Both Luke and Martin's grandsires are named Martin.

My mistake, although I think Arrowtail is correct in saying that we do not know the name of Martin's grandfather, only his great grandfather. Perhaps you could quote the bit where you think it indicated otherwise.That's not what I'm concerned about. Both Luke and Martin's grandsires are named Martin.
Maybe Martin's Grandfather was named for his grandfather? Do you know BJ's
email adress? If you do, we could ask him. I know some RW readers have it.
