    Arrow New Urso Brunov

On October 16, a sequel to The Tale of Urso Brunov: Little Father of All Bears‎ is scheduled for publication. It's again with illustrator Alexi Natchev, and entitled Urso Brunov and the White Emperor.

Also on this day The Doomwytes, or still possibly Doomwyte is scheduled for publication.

There was no official release date prior to the Amazon listing. Martin put September on the Newsline because that's when Brian's books typically come out.... six of the last seven were released sometime in September, and the last only missed it by a few days. Still, that's why he used "should" and "expected". It was an estimate.

Amazon says October 16th, so that's what it is... for now

In my opinion I don't mind if Mr. Jacques writes a sequel to Urso Brunov, which he is. Not having read this book yet, I will reserve judgment on the literary content of the book or the potential a possible sequel could hold. However, the way I see it, by publishing the sequel Mr. Jacques will be expanding upon his children's works and broaden the age range of his readers, possibly spurring a young child of today and a teenager of tommorrow to eventually read the Redwall series and Castaways series. I approve any move Mr. Jacques might take in this direction, so long as it does not interfere with the writing of more Redwall books.
    Brian Jacques:
"It really gets up my nose when publicists call my
books 'Another Lord of the Rings.' I say, 'It's not another Lord of the Rings, it's my bloody book! It's my creation. I wrote it. And another thing, I didn't have to plunder Norse and European mythology to do it!'"

"Harry Potter's picked up readers from me! I was there 10 years before Harry Potter."

Redwall could destroy HP anyday. EULALIAAAAAA!!
