    My poem.

Since there seemed to be a surgance of poetry, I decided to try to write one.

    Mother's Day

Wounded and bleeding, the soldier lay dying.
And from his lips, a moan came crying:
"I forgot to make a card," he said sighing,
As on the field, he lay bleeding and dying.

Yeah, I don't know what motivated me to write this. I think I'm going soft. Anyway, what do you think?

Tee hee! I love how the only thing he thinks about when he's about to die is that he forgot to make a card for his mom. She might not even notice, or at least she probably wouldn't care much. I think it's more funny than depressing. I like it.

Yeah, it is kinda funny in a twisted, sadistic sort of way...

I agree, except for the "Tee hee!" part.

He shot or something. I don't know. All my brain conjured up was a bleeding soldier stretched out on the ground, his rifle limp beside him.....mumbling about how he forgot to make a card.

Don't be so worried about offending me. I don't get offended easily, and I'm not going to be offended by your opinions.

Awesome... Just the right level of morbidity. I think it's really good.
