Was disappointed with the new Lily Allen, love the new Fray and Prodigy albums, listening to the new Chris Cornell right now, and I'll be seeing No Doubt on their reunion tour this summer.![]()

Yellow Submarine is my most hated song. That song is like nails on a chalkboard to me.I don't like Eleanor Rigby either. I have no real opinion on Paperback Writer or Day Tripper, though.
I'm rather selective when it comes to the Beatles. Some songs I like, some songs I hate. I tend to prefer their earlier stuff.

I love Yellow Submarine. It's awesome.![]()
They do have some really weird songs. Like I am the Walrus.
But on the other hand, I really like some stuff.
My favorites are probably
1. Let it Be
2. Eleanor Rigby
3. Paperback Writer
Although two of them make me cry. Whatever.
I'm listening to
All you need is love.
"Caledonia Mission" by The Band. These guys were just so talented back in the day. Music From Big Pink has to be my favorite album of all time.
Call me a heathen, but I've never been able to stomach the Beatles. They only have about half a dozen songs I actually like; "Eleanor Rigby" is one. I find that most of their catalog ranges from simply embarrassing to unlistenably awful.
I once heard an amazing version of this by an older Mexican man on the New York City subway, strumming an unbelievably battered guitar while his grade-school-age son and daughter rattled tambourines. I would give anything for a recording of it; it was absolutely transcendental. They do have some really weird songs. Like I am the Walrus.
Yellow Submarine is also an enjoyable animated film featuring the Beatles and their music.

Last year's American Idol winner, David Cook, did a fairly good cover of "Eleanor Rigby".

"I am the Walrus" is one of those drug-influenced songs your parents think is evil.![]()
That was such a weeeeird movie. I liked it though, 'cause the music was so great that I didn't notice the plot.
I noticed. I'd probably put "Come Together" in the same group."I am the Walrus" is one of those drug-influenced songs your parents think is evil.![]()
But really, It doesn't make me want to do drugs, so I don't see the harm.....
I'm listening to:
"She Loves You"
The Beatles
"Psychotic Reaction" by Count Five. You have to love 60s garage music.
