Different openings for season 1?

So I was snooping around Youtube, reviving my childhood with Redwall, when I noticed something.

This is the opening that I've always seen on TV:



And then I came across this one:

You'll notice Martin's voice over is different. The opening from the TV series always had him saying "I am that is, my sword shall wield for me!" in a bolder tone, but in the second video what he says actually follows the book: "I am that is, my sword will wield for me!" in a more mellow tone.

Nothing big, but it got me curious. I had never heard of the second version before.

the theme is the second from the bottom in the left column of songs, and a bunch of other music from the show is there as well. I found it a while ago through Vipertooth Productions's videos, a link was in the description of the soundtrack vids.

But still, was the second opening ever put to use?

I went through all 13 openings, and no it wasn't used.
