And the Award Goes to...

Not Harry, Ron or Hermione, because they're all terrible actors. Yes they look the part, but they usually make me cringe whenever a particularly powerful or emotional line is delivered, and the comedy should be left to the rest of the cast. Don't get me wrong, everyone (except Lupin and Sirus ) look just like they should (in my opinion anyways), but the kids simply suck.

My personal favorite is Severus Snape, who is brilliantly portrayed by one of my favorite actors, Alan Rickman. He carries himself with the exact air and manner that Snape does from the books, and breathes life into the mysterious character. McGonagall is my second favorite, she too perfectly portrays her namesake from the books.

I agree with you about the main three, though Hermione is probably the least irritating. Of those you've listed, I had to go with McGonagall. She was very similar to the character I had pictured in my mind throughout reading the books, and in the movies she displayed the perfect subtle mix of sternness, compassion and humor. Snape was definitely good too.

I was amazed by Cedric Diggory's portrayal in the fourth film.

Amazed as in good, or as in bad? I thought he did a more than decent job, though I wasn't knocked off my socks. I forgot to add characters from the fourth movie to the poll....(Fleur didn't have a thick enough accent and wasn't hot enough )

I don't think I can vote. I don't think any of the actors really "blow me away". Well Alan Rickman does a good job I guess.

SNAPE !! H'es one of my favourite characters, of course, but I really find Alan Rickman is pretty well as him.

My favorite is Snape. Alan Rickman does a great job portraying his character.

Snape, definitely. I agree the kids were awful in the first two movies but since then I think they've improved a lot.

I would have to say Snape is the best also, but McGonagall does good too

My vote seriously depends on which actor you are referring to for Dumbledore. If it was Richard Harris, then him ALL THE WAY. He was amazing. The new guy, eh... not so much (personally I think he ruined the character of Dumbledore and I don't believe for a minute that he will be able to pull off the characterization needed for Dumbledore in the sixth...)

If it is the new guy you are talking about, then I'd have to go with... The Twins!! Even though they are not on there

McGonagall and Snape are the best after Dumbledore.
