And as a cap to the-whole-thing, artist Micheline Robinson has posted the portrait of Brian Jacques that she was commissioned to create for The Liverpool Echo's "Spirit of Liverpool" campaign in her online gallery. (Brian's portrait is the sixth image down. Can't miss it.)

The portrait was based on the photo of Brian (taken by his son, David) that has been featured on the backs of his books in recent years (see below).
